Here are a few details on owning one of our Wheatens.
First, please do not be offended but not every home is right for a Wheaten. Our dogs are only sold to homes where we feel comfortable placing a Wheaten. Wheatens are active and very social animals. Have you seen those little indoor dogs? That's not a Wheaten. Wheatens are active dogs that need a fair bit of exercise to remain healthy. Daily walks are an absolute must. Ever seen those dogs that people tie up in the yard and leave for days on end? Again - not a Wheaten. Wheatens must be treated as family members and need companionship. Sure they can be left alone for an afternoon now and again but they should NOT be considered "outside dogs" left alone for days on end. Still think you might qualify as a Wheaten owner? Read on...
We NEVER sell to pet stores or to "puppy mills" or pet stores (See our Puppy Mill Warning)
Tori, our female, is a fully CKC registered purebred Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Tori has had her hips and eyes tested (both passed) and all necessary blood work has been completed
Our dogs come with a 2 year health guarantee.
All of our Wheatens are sold on a non-breeding agreement as pet dogs.
All of our puppies are raised in a family setting as family members - they are very well socialized
Non-breeding agreements can be reversed in certain circumstances - call for details.
All of our Wheatens are fully CKC registered pure bred Wheaten Terriers with a pedigree
Our dogs come with Dew Claws removed (Wheatens can bounce up on people and dew claws can scratch or snag clothing)
We do NOT dock tails (it's needless animal cruelty in my opinion and the Wheaten Association has amended the breed standard so it is no longer required)
Our dogs come with an implanted micro chip for identification in the event your dog is lost or stolen
Our dogs come with first puppy shots, de-worming and 2 check-up's by a licensed Veterinarian
You are responsible for all additional shots and vet check-up's.
You will be responsible for spaying or neutering your dog
Our Wheatens are priced at $1,200
A deposit of $600 will hold your Wheaten.
The deposit may be made by cheque provided it is received in time to clear the bank.
A final payment of $600 is due prior to delivery of your Wheaten
The final payment must be made by certified cheque or money order
You are responsible for any shipping charges to receive your Wheaten puppy.
Should you need a shipping crate we will buy one for you and add it to your final payment.
If you wish to send your crate back we will gladly buy it back from you and we will even pay the shipping to get it back.
You are welcome to come and see your puppy (please call first). We are living at the lake for the summer. We are located at Palliser Park on the shores of Lake Diefenbaker.
