Buying A Wheaten

Home

Sorry our litter for 2007 is now entirely sold.  We don't take names for a waiting list but feel free to check back in about 18 - 24 months... we may have another litter then.  Also check the main page.  When a reputable Saskatchewan breeder has a litter we will post the news.

Here are a few details on owning one of our Wheatens.

First, please do not be offended but not every home is right for a Wheaten.  Our dogs are only sold to homes where we feel comfortable placing a Wheaten.  Wheatens are active and very social animals.  Have you seen those little indoor dogs?  That's not a Wheaten.  Wheatens are active dogs that need a fair bit of exercise to remain healthy.  Daily walks are an absolute must.  Ever seen those dogs that people tie up in the yard and leave for days on end?  Again - not a Wheaten.  Wheatens must be treated as family members and need companionship.  Sure they can be left alone for an afternoon now and again but they should NOT be considered "outside dogs" left alone for days on end.  Still think you might qualify as a Wheaten owner?  Read on...

You are welcome to come and see your puppy (please call first).  We are living at the lake for the summer.  We are located at Palliser Park on the shores of Lake Diefenbaker.
