The puppies had their first vet visit on Friday October 21, 2005.  Each puppy had a physical exam and dew claw removal.  Everyone checked out just fine!  We used the services of Dr. Jackson who operates Edenwood Veterinary House Calls (306) 596-2354.

We don't dock puppy tails but with Wheatens, it is necessary to remove the dew claws.  Wheatens always jump up on people and dew claws can snag clothing and scratch people.  They have to go!  Fortunately the puppies seem to tolerate the procedure well.
